MONTR\u00c9AL \u2013 On Thursday, May 22, Maison Territo,<\/strong> the new high-end showroom designed by David Territo,<\/strong> an Italian-Canadian entrepreneur of Sicilian origins already known in the city for Casa Vogue<\/strong> \u2013 a family business that has been active in the luxury furniture sector for over 50 years \u2013 and his partner Liv Siv-ing,<\/strong> was inaugurated at the prestigious Royalmount <\/strong>shopping center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maison Territo was born as a natural continuation of the Territo family history, which began in 1972 with the opening of Casa Vogue in the Saint-L\u00e9onard neighborhood, a point of reference for high-end Italian furniture. \u201cMy father, a carpenter by trade, designed the furniture. Then he started importing it directly from Italy and it became a family business,\u201d<\/em> David Territo told us. \u201cWe all worked on it: my parents, my brothers and I. I grew up in this world.\u201d <\/em>Casa Vogue continues its activity today, but Maison Territo represents a new phase. \u201cThe name is a tribute to my family. My two brothers passed away due to cancer: if they were still here, they would be proud of this new chapter.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exclusive and refined event attracted over 200 guests including architects, designers, developers and collectors. Not just an opening, but a true declaration of intent for the North American luxury design market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t build it to fit in, but to stand out,\u201d <\/em>said David Territo, the creative mind behind the project. \u201cMaison Territo is our declaration of love for Made in Italy. It\u2019s our way of putting Montreal on the global design map.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside the showroom, designed more like a luxury residence than an exhibition space, visitors can discover spaces designed down to the smallest detail, furnished with iconic pieces from Fendi Casa, Dolce & Gabbana Casa, Versace Home, Bentley Home<\/strong> and other big names in Italian furniture, difficult to find gathered together in one place in North America. \u201cWe selected the best brands in the world and brought them all here, under one roof in Montreal,\u201d<\/em> David Territo proudly declared. The atmosphere of the evening lived up to the concept: champagne, live DJ sets, artistic performances and spaces that told a story of craftsmanship, fashion and Italian lifestyle. \u201cIt was the most beautiful design event Montreal has ever seen,\u201d<\/em> commented one of the guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
