Maison Territo is a new 11,000-square-foot boutique of luxury Italian furniture at Royalmount. Stepping into this expansive space feels like you’re walking into a haute couture fashion show\u2026 of furniture.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The space created by Montrealers David Territo and Liv Siv-Ing showcases Italian design. David Territo was born into furniture. His love for furniture has been passed down through the generations in his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1972, the Territo family opened Casa Vogue in Saint-L\u00e9onard. For 53 years, it has been offering high-end Italian furniture. The entire family has contributed to the company’s success: his parents, his brothers, and himself. “My father, a cabinetmaker by trade, designed the furniture, then he started importing furniture from Italy, and it became a family business. I’ve been in this world since I was young!” explains Mr. Territo, who still works for Casa Vogue. “The name Maison Territo is about continuing the family story. My two brothers died of cancer, and if they were still here, they would have been proud.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new space features four major brands: Fendi Casa, Versace Home, Dolce & Gabbana Casa, and Bentley Home. Maison Territo’s layout is composed of several large spaces: living rooms with large sofas and coffee tables, dining rooms, and bedrooms. Office furniture, cushions, lighting, and porcelain tableware collections from these prestigious fashion houses are also on display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was while traveling to Milan that the couple David Territo and Liv Siv-Ing had the idea to embark on the Maison Territo adventure by partnering with Italian ultra-luxury brands, which sometimes have a family history that inspires them, like Fendi where the five sisters transformed the brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The couple also loves the audacity and genius of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s exceptional to have these great Italian fashion houses in Montreal. They are brands with character and expertise, and they are part of the history of fashion. These are major design houses that we are the only ones to represent here in Canada, for furniture.<\/p>\u2014David Territo, co-founder of Maison Territo<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The same iconic elements of these Italian fashion houses’ haute couture collections can be found in the furniture: leather, animal prints, stripes, textures, and impeccable finishes. “The furniture is made with exceptional materials that will stand the test of time. These are brands with a very strong identity and that set trends,”<\/em> says Liv Siv-Ing, who has worked in the fashion world in Paris. She invites us to examine the furniture in detail. “There’s this Fendi Casa sofa that won a design award because it combines comfort and ingenuity by integrating a table into the sofa!”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n
