[Full Renovation of a Heritage Home]

789 Dunlop

A complete renovation of a classic Outremont residence, balancing modern living with respect for the home’s historical character.

Project Overview

789 Dunlop was an aging residential property that required a full transformation without losing the essence of the original home. The challenge was not only technical, but philosophical: how to bring the house fully into the present while respecting its past.

This was not a cosmetic renovation. The house required a complete technical reset — all electrical systems, all plumbing, and major interior interventions — executed under an extremely tight schedule.

Design Approach

The creative challenge was balance. Every decision focused on restraint, proportion, and respect for the existing architecture, allowing contemporary systems and finishes to integrate quietly rather than dominate.

Rather than imposing a new identity, the design worked with what was already there, enhancing functionality while preserving character.

Technical Transformation

This was not a cosmetic renovation. The project required the full replacement of electrical systems, all new plumbing, and extensive interior reconfiguration, all delivered within an extremely tight one-month schedule.

Precision, coordination, and efficiency were critical throughout the process.
